Open Enrollment 2018: Information for Patients

It’s open enrollment time, and the decisions you make now can affect the healthcare you and your family receive in 2018. At John Muir Health, we want to partner with you to provide the best care possible. That’s why we want to provide you with helpful information as you make your selections for yourself and each member of your family.

Selecting a John Muir Health physician and the John Muir Health Physician Network for your care in 2018 ensures that you have access to all John Muir Health facilities and services including our partner hospital, San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Just follow these two easy steps:

• Step 1: Choose a health insurance plan that works with John Muir Health. John Muir Health accepts most major health insurance plans including HMOs, PPOs, and Medicare. Go to johnmuirhealth.com/insurance to find out which health insurance plans work with John Muir Health.

• Step 2: HMO Enrollees – Choose a John Muir Health doctor and the John Muir Health Physician Network as your medical group. If you choose an HMO plan, you’ll need to select a primary care doctor. Use our Find a Doctor tool to search based on those doctors with open practices, location, languages spoken or other important factors to you. When you complete your open enrollment selections, also make sure that you choose the John Muir Health Physician Network as your medical group. Many physicians participate in multiple networks.
